I’m Sarah, bringing you over 6 years of experience as a registered massage therapist.
Helping others has been a life-long priority of mine. My passion for connecting the mind, body and soul allows me to dig deeper into your healing by gathering information on life stressors, work ergonomics, health issues or injuries (old or new), and diet/lifestyle.
Throughout the years, I have suffered various injuries including a knee dislocation, whiplash multiple times, hip bursitis, bilateral knee tendonitis, ankle sprains, in addition to 4 concussions from motor vehicle accidents. These have propelled me to consider how I could relate my own experience into a career that focuses on healing and helping others live as pain-free as possible.
I understand that health is wealth, and that pain should never force anyone to give up the things they love. I treat with a variety of techniques to best suit what your body needs in each treatment.
I am attentive to all concerns you may have but have a particular interest in treating patients who have movement-related injuries due to sport, strain, or overuse. My interest in weightlifting and sports allows me to have first-hand experience and knowledge of appropriate strengthening and stretching exercises to improve a wide variety of conditions/injuries, as well as to help prevent care.
As much as I love and believe in massage therapy, I also understand it may not be a one size fits all or in this case “one treatment type fixes all” and am a huge advocate for treating the body with multiple modalities if needed. This may include Chiro, Osteo, Physio (dry needling or other), Acupuncture, Cranial Sacral Massage, Shockwave therapy, naturopath or could require your family doctor. I have personal first hand experience with most of the practitioners I refer to and take pride in offering you the best care in and outside my practice!
In my spare time, you can find me curling (playing or watching), working out at the gym, hanging out with friends, at a country concert, a brewery, traveling or curled up on the couch watching The Challenge, Traitors, or whatever short series has caught my eye. I also listen to alot of podcasts and will happily overshare with you during a session!
